Nottingham Cathedral are delighted to be taking part in the City’s Light Night 2024 trail, over the first weekend of February.
Come and experience the Cathedral like you’ve never seen it before. Its breath-taking gothic revival architecture will be illuminated in new and beautiful ways with coloured spotlights. You will be able to explore the Cathedral, including hidden gems on Nottingham’s heritage scene such as our richly decorated Blessed Sacrament Chapel. As you complete the trail, there will be the possibility to light a candle on the steps of the Sanctuary. Throughout both evenings, a programme of live music will be provided by our various Cathedral Choirs and Organists. A new addition to this year’s schedule, thanks to a collaboration with Nottingham Playhouse, are two lantern making workshops for children and their families. We hope you will come and join us for an evening of beauty, wonder and awe!
