God created us out of a plan of sheer love and He wants to be in relationship with us.
God has revealed Himself to humanity in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God, born into human history, and is both human and divine.
As both a human person and God, Jesus reveals to us the art of living, and His teachings show us how to live our lives to the fullest.
‘I and the Father are one.’John 10:30
In an act of great love for us, Jesus died for the sins (wrongdoings) of humanity to bring us back into unity with God the Father.
‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.’ John 3:16
Three days after His death on the cross, Jesus rose again and by rising from the dead, shows us that both eternal life and freedom from sin is possible.
‘For we know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him … So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.’ Romans 6:9,11
Jesus gave His followers the Church and He continues to be present to His Church through its sacraments. He gave His Church this mission:
‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of Holy Spirit’. Matthew 28:19
Through the Holy Spirit, God continues to breathe new life into His Church and to bring us into His family.
‘For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God … and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.' Romans 8:14,17
