A ceremony of welcome has been held at Leicester's Royal Infirmary's Chapel for two new hospital chaplains. The event, organised by the Chaplaincy service to celebrate the arrival of Yunus Bhayat and Theresa Taylor-Brookes to the team, was attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire and representatives from the Leicester Deanery and the Federation of Muslim Organisations, plus the families of both chaplains and our Chief Executive, Richard Mitchell.

Kartar Singh Bring, Head of Chaplaincy, said: “It was a special day that I hope Yunus and Theresa will look back at as the start of a great journey with our hospitals and service. The ceremony was our way of formally welcoming them to the team, while affirming the values at the heart of the Chaplaincy for all of those in our care.”
