The University of Derby Chaplaincy and Churches Together in Buxton present Parallel worlds, hidden lives, which is a public forum on modern slavery and human trafficking. This provides an opportunity to the general public to find out what is going on in the Buxton area and how the community could work together to help put an end to modern slavery.

Distinguished guests and speakers at the event include Detective Chief Inspector Paul Tatlow, lead for Serious and Organised Crime at the Derby Constabulary; the Rt. Rev. Dr. Alastair Redfern, Anglican bishop of Derby; Michelle Collins, Community Safety Manager for the Derbyshire County Council; and Dave Walsh, Professor of Law ad De Montfort University.
