BISHOP'S CERTIFICATE FOR TEACHERS - FOUNDATION COURSE IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TO COMPLEMENT THE 'COME AND SEE' PROGRAMME

Who is it for?

Teachers working in Catholic primary schools

What is it for?

To provide an insight into aspects of the Catholic faith and increase knowledge and understanding; to provide theological background to topics in the ‘Come and See’ programme and develop confidence and creativity for its delivery in the classroom.

What is involved?

12 topics covered over six days concluding with the award of a certificate.Participants are required to attend a minimum of 5 sessions and to complete and submit one assignment in order to receive the certificate.

Who is leading the course?

Each session will be led by David Quinn (Primary RE Adviser – NRCDES) and Julia Palmer (Adult Formation Director).The Adult Formation commission is coordinating the course.
